Once you have started your coaching business, you know that you must promote it to reach your potential clients. Setting up a marketing strategy is very important, but what is more important and more useful to you is to get the right message across to your potential clients. It is the first thing to do, before getting involved in any type of marketing strategies.
Your message must arouse your clients’ interest and motivate them to take action in solving their problem; most of all, it must make them realise you are the one to work with.
Here are some tips to help you deliver a really good message:
1. Have an impact
Your clients must know you are addressing them, that your message is only for them.
This is where you must press the emotional button. You must talk to them about their problems, their challenges, their needs. You must make them see the solution to their problem, and they will come and hire you on the spot to solve their problem.
This should be quite simple to do, as there are 3 things people usually want: 1. You understand their problem; 2. They get something out of it; 3. You have the solution they are looking for. Once you deliver what they want to hear, then they will come and seek you out as the expert they are looking for.

2. Make your voice heard
Use your message to make your clients see you are unique, what makes you stand out from the crowd, that you are the one who has the answer to their problem.
Don’t get bogged down in a long, boring message. If you don’t want to lose your clients’ interest during your explanation, summarise your message and include all the essential elements. You want your clients to know the problem you can solve, the solution you can offer, your approach and your results. Your intention is to attract clients through your message, to make them understand you and make them want to work with you.
When delivering a message, always keep in mind that it must:
 be clear
 be understood by your clients
 be concise
 inspire and motivate people to act.
If you don’t talk to them in a way which generates an emotional response, if you don’t give them the impression that you speak their language, if you don’t tell them you have the solution, they won’t listen to you!

3. Share your passion from the heart
If you love your coaching, if you like to help others, then it should be really easy to reach your clients. If you are enthusiastic, if you are motivated to help them, then they will know you speak from your heart. You show them you have the solution to their problem. You can either tell them about your own success or give them examples of actual stories, those of your clients. These real life experiences will also press the emotional button; the power of example works perfectly in this scenario.
They must see the possibilities they have. You must show them what they can do and what they can achieve. And if you tell them the story of someone who was in the same situation, who had the same problem, and that person has obtained the results they were looking for, they will immediately say: "If he did it, I can do it too!" The story will challenge and motivate your clients to take action.
