Nowadays, people say that image is very important. You cannot gain anything in life if you don’t know how to present and represent yourself to get people’s attention. Unfortunately, sometimes image is all about form, and not about content. Of course, disappointment follows when we discover that we’re not getting what we expected and were tricked simply by a nice image.
Even in business, any kind of business, image seems to play a large part in choosing a service provider to work with. Fortunately, in this case, image is mostly about having a good reputation on the market, and no matter how many expensive marketing campaigns you use to try and get clients to choose you, they will not work if you do not provide quality products or services. Your clients are the ones who create your image, based on their experience from working with you or from customer satisfaction.
If you want to develop a coaching business online, then it is a great challenge for you to create the proper image to get you clients and revenue. It is essential to create a complete message about you and your work which you can deliver through your website or blog, your articles, newsletters, products and programmes. You create your image in the first instance, and then it is completed by your clients and your rate of success.
This is not difficult if you know from the start what to say and how to say it. Your entire message should create a genuine image about yourself, your abilities in this field, your commitment to success, your passion for coaching and your desire to help as many people as possible.
Do not try to present yourself as someone you are not, because clients will find it out soon enough and will be disappointed by you. People want someone who is honest, who’d rather say ‘this is who I am, this is what I can do, and I give my best to help my clients reach their goals’.
You will get many more clients and increase your revenue if you add a few key ingredients to your message:
- Deliver a clear, concise message – people do not have the patience to listen to or read long boring speeches. They do not need complicated coaching terms to understand your message. Keep it simple, speak their own language and include in your message the essentials about you and your work.
- Speak from the heart – do not hesitate to show your clients how passionate you are about your coaching, what your goals are, your aspirations, and how you want to reach as many people as possible. Become their motivation and inspiration by sharing with them your experiences, how you dealt with difficult situations and how you made it through.
- You are the expert they need – show them, with great confidence, that you are the expert they are looking for. Let them see that you know their problems and you have the solution for them. Of course, mere words do not give them much satisfaction, but you can always back them up with facts, success stories of other clients or your own stories. People need proof and they need to see that others could do it, so that will be a great motivation for them to hire you.
You may not find the perfect message right from the start, but do not give up. Take your time and look inside you and see what you can do to improve your coaching and how you can help others. Once you know exactly what your strengths are and if you are determined to make it in this industry, then you can easily create your message. Remember, regardless of the methods you use to deliver it, they must all say the same about you and your work. Then it is only a matter of time before you get more clients and more revenue and become the successful coach you have always dreamed of.
